Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The miXabroad Global Student Prize Draw (the "Promotion") is conducted by miXabroad pty.ltd., trading as miXabroad, an Australian-registered company (the "Promoter").

2. Promotion period
The Promotion runs from 1 January to 31 December 11:59 pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Only eligible entries received during this period will be included in the annual draw.
The Promoter intends to conduct the Promotion annually. Each annual draw is a separate promotion with its own entry period and applicable terms.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to individuals who:
- Are aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
- Have completed an eligible miXabroad student survey during the Promotion period.
- Have voluntarily entered the prize draw by providing the required contact information.
- Reside in a jurisdiction where participation in the Promotion is legally permitted.
Employees, directors and officers of the Promoter, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
Participation is subject to applicable laws and any jurisdiction-specific restrictions published by the Promoter.
4. How to enter
Eligible participants may enter by:
- Completing an eligible miXabroad survey during the Promotion period.
- Following the separate prize draw entry process provided at the conclusion of the survey.
- Providing a valid email address.
No purchase or payment is required to enter.
Entry into the prize draw is voluntary and does not affect a participant's survey responses or relationship with their education institution.
A maximum of one entry per experience is permitted for each annual draw.
5. Prize details
One eligible entrant will be selected in the annual Global Student Prize Draw (the "Winner").
The Winner may choose one of the following prize options:
Option A – Return Airfare
One return economy-class airfare to a destination of the Winner's choice, valued at up to AUD $2,000.
The airfare prize:
- Covers one return economy-class airfare for the Winner, including applicable airline taxes and mandatory booking charges, up to the AUD $2,000 limit.
- Is subject to flight availability, airline conditions, applicable laws and travel restrictions.
- Must be booked through a travel provider or booking process approved by the Promoter and the education institution partner.
- Does not include accommodation, meals, ground transportation, passports, visas, travel insurance or other personal expenses unless expressly agreed in writing.
- Is not redeemable for cash or transferable to another person, except where required by law.
If the selected airfare exceeds AUD $2,000, the Winner may elect to pay the difference, subject to the Promoter's approval.
If the selected airfare costs less than AUD $2,000, the unused balance will not be paid to the Winner.
Option B – Charitable Donation
Alternatively, the Winner may elect to have the Promoter make a charitable donation of AUD $2,000 to an eligible registered charity of the Winner's choice.
The charitable donation:
- Will be made directly by the Promoter to the nominated charity.
- Must be directed to a legally registered charitable organisation that is eligible to receive the donation under applicable laws.
- Is subject to reasonable verification and approval by the Promoter and education institution partner, including compliance with applicable sanctions, anti-money laundering and other legal requirements.
- Cannot be paid directly to the Winner or another individual.
- Cannot be exchanged for cash, goods or services for the Winner's personal benefit.
If the nominated charity is ineligible or unable to receive the donation, the Winner will be invited to nominate an alternative eligible charity.
The Promoter will arrange the donation within 60 days of confirming the eligible charity and will provide the Winner with confirmation once the donation has been made.
General Prize Conditions
The Winner may select only one of the two prize options.
The Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
The Winner's selection must be communicated to the Promoter within 30 days of accepting the Prize.
6. Winner Selection
The Winner will be selected by a random draw from all valid and eligible entries received during the Promotion period.
The draw will take place by 31 January and include all eligible participants from the prior calednar year. The draw will take place in Sydney, Australia via an electronic draw platform.
Each eligible entrant will have an equal chance of winning, regardless of which participating miXabroad student voice benchmark survey they completed.
One Winner will be selected and offered the choice of a return economy airfare or charitable donation, as outlined in Clause 5.
The Promoter will maintain appropriate records of the draw and conduct it in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
7. Winner notification and claiming the Prize
The provisional Winner will be contacted using the email address supplied when entering the Promotion within five business days of the draw.
The Winner must respond within 14 calendar days of notification.
Once eligibility has been verified, the Winner will be invited to select either the return airfare or charitable donation option.
If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible or fails to claim the Prize within the specified period, the Promoter may conduct a redraw, subject to applicable law.
The Winner may be required to provide proof of age, identity and eligibility before the Prize is awarded.
8. Travel and charitable donation arrangements
For Winners selecting the airfare:
The airfare must be booked within six months of Winner notification, and travel must be completed within 12 months, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The Winner is responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documentation, meeting applicable entry requirements, obtaining appropriate travel insurance and paying expenses not expressly included in the Prize.
Flight schedules, cancellations and conditions of carriage are subject to the relevant airline's terms.
For Winners selecting the charitable donation:
The Winner must nominate an eligible registered charity and provide sufficient details to enable the Promoter to verify the organisation and arrange payment.
The Promoter will make the donation directly to the nominated charity following verification.
The donation will be made in the Promoter's name, with acknowledgement of the Winner's nomination where appropriate and with the Winner's consent.
The Winner will not receive any personal tax deduction or other financial benefit arising from the donation.
Any tax treatment of the donation will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
9. Changes, cancellation and substitution
If circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control prevent the selected Prize from being provided as described, the Promoter may, subject to applicable law and any required regulatory approval, offer an appropriate alternative.
If a nominated charity cannot lawfully or practically receive the donation, the Winner will be given a reasonable opportunity to nominate another eligible charity.
Any modification, suspension or cancellation of the Promotion will be subject to applicable law and regulatory requirements.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for loss, damage, injury or expense arising from:
- Travel undertaken using the airfare Prize.
- Acts or omissions of airlines, transport operators or other independent third-party travel providers.
- Travel delays, cancellations or changes outside the Promoter's reasonable control.
- The Winner's failure to comply with applicable travel requirements.
- The activities, operations or use of donated funds by an independent charitable organisation following receipt of the charitable donation.
The Promoter will take reasonable steps to verify the eligibility and legitimacy of nominated charitable organisations before making a donation.
Nothing in this clause excludes liability arising from the Promoter's negligence, unlawful conduct or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
